5 year warranty on new cars
Discussion
Just had an ad come up on my phone saying stock new Alpines will come with special five year warranty
https://www.retailgroup.co.uk/renault/search-vehic...
The surprise is that this applies to 45 cars - this means they have a backlog of several months of cars to move on based on current sales rate
Seems to apply to all models apart from R - sorry to disappoint !

The 5 year warranty on new makes sense to reassure new customers, what with the recent press due to fuel pumps.
When it comes to stock, a few people have reported dealers aren't currently offering to buy in their used cars which implies there is ample stock already.
The regulations coming in July next year means things will most probably go the other way and actually limit stock, especially of new cars. Used cars will probably hold their value better too or may even rise.

Can you elaborate on July please? I notice my 73 plate alpine already has a speed limiter switch - something to do with the expansion of this? When it comes to stock, a few people have reported dealers aren't currently offering to buy in their used cars which implies there is ample stock already.
