Powerflex lower torque mount
Discussion
Had this fitted by Floyd at K-Tec racing this morning.

What a difference! does exactly what it says on the tin.
Whilst i was there i mentioned the fuel pump issue; the same problem with the Megane IV and it is an orange recall, to be replace at the next service.

Neil, as Powerflex mention it's for 21 to 23 models, what model year is yours and is there any reason this lower torque mount couldn't be fitted to my 2019 Legende? Following your feedback, I'm very interested in getting one fitted, especially as I've also had the Life110 remap.
Would be interesting to know what Spires or David Pook think of combining this improved lower torque mount together with a Life110 remap and fast Road geo set-up and/or suspension upgrade. Presumably David would have considered this component in his analysis / thinking for A110 improvements?CharleyFarley66 said:

My car is a 2018 P.E. It depends on which web page you are looking at as to the year of the model quoted; PFF60-8026 yellow 70A and purple 80A is the item number quoted on all the sites with the exception of Lichfield, who are advertising the Black series PFF-60-8026BLK (2017) and CLP automotive a fast road version PFF60-8026P.In essence they are the same product but with differing strength of bushes.
I chose the standard yellow and purple and it certainly feels to have made a difference over the OEM part.
Im at Spires tomorrow, Matt is fitting the bilstein dampers to my car so will ask his opinion.
Sorry for the late response, couldn't log in on my phone.

Presumably David would have considered this component in his analysis / thinking for A110 improvements?...because I already knew the engine mounts were very soft (the reaction lower mount is carry over from a Captur), and the driving performance (ride shake, handling and steering) would be improved with stiffer ones. But just changing the lower reaction mount isn't enough, it needs a new engine side mount and this is a massive redesign and complex part, and I decided the gains vs investment vs likely sales wasn't worth it.
I contacted Powerflex who checked my plate (March 2019) and this is what they've stated:
'Having cross-referenced this, I can confirm that this mount will be suitable for your vehicle 😊 :
For fast road:
https://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-details/Lower+...
For track/race:
https://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-details/Lower+...
Please let us know if you need any further information and we will be happy to assist.'
So for fast road part no. PFF60-8026P, it's a smidge under £160 for the one item. Powerflex's bushes are sold through a network of suppliers including Europarts, which happens to be my nearest dealer, so I'll be popping over to see them soon!

Looks good but €1750 even for a full set excluding fitting is a bit steep I would have thought.https://www.mp-rezeau.fr/produit/ensemble-de-suppo...
Do any of our French PH friends know of any A110 owners with the full Rezeau set installed? Would be good to get their feedback on this topic.

"Powerflex lower torque mount - the ultimate secret!"
The guy basically says that it makes a big difference to the feel / handling of the car and (I think he said) the feeling of forward thrust- and given the low cost and no other downsides (no extra vibration etc) he sees it as the first mod. He mentions that before he was not 100pc sure of the handling before - but could not put his finger on it. Now, he realises that the engine was moving in a different direction to the car. That said, whilst it works well on the street, he feels that some further support would be helpful on track and that he will look at some further options for this - non specified.
That is what I can make out from the English subtitles embedded into the video - however, he seems to say a lot of words vs what appears as text - so not sure what is being missed.
I cant get YT to give an English translation of the transcript (not sure its me) - just seems to publish this in Italian.

The guy also posts a short video to show before and after engine bay movement.

I have had one fitted for a while. I'm happy with it. There does not seem to be any detectible disadvantage even in slow stop/start traffic as long as you're not in sport mode.
that said I do now have a little squeak in sport mode between gas ON and gas OFF. Like a mouse in the engine bay. I think some bushing is making this noise with the flex of the power train to the chassis. Not sure whether it is the newish lower torque mount doing this now, or a stock part.
