Problems locking from fob
Discussion
Had anybody had issues with locking the car?
The car unlocked normally and I drove approx 30 miles, parked and locked the door using the fob button. Could hear noise as car tried to lock but mirrors stayed out
I open and closed both doors, bonnet and boot and tried again but same symptom - now as though central locking functions but for still unlocked and mirrors stayed out
Tried longer button press which resulted in bleep from car
Tried walking away to see if automatically licked without fob on area and also tried the door button but all to no avail.
Tried opening and closing everything and also started car and checked for does etc showing as open which nothing was
Stopped the car and got out and attempted to lock as normal and this time everything was fine. And also worked with second press to deadlock
Anybody had this or any good ideas?
Thanks

Had something similar yesterday - “top up oil” warning light came on. Turned ignition off, checked oil - all fine - turned ignition on, warning light no longer showing. Drive 300 miles no problem.
Like most cars, the sensors are a bit too sensitive (maybe yours was sensing something open when it wasn’t) and often trigger erroneously. Turning off and on seems to fix many of them.

Drove home with no issues, parked up and locked as expected.
Came out 10 minutes later and parked it in the garage and again wouldn't lock.
I got out of the driver's door having reached over to release the bonnet so I could connect the battery charger and having connected up shut the bonnet, so in my mind there is an issue with the bonnet latch sensor or the driver's door sensor
I'll investigate properly at the weekend
