I've just watched this. They are like a pair of giddy school boys on their first sniff of half a shandy. Maybe I have mis understood the context of it but it does seem at odds with every other review out there

maybe it was the first contemporary fast car the young guy has ever driven. All of them can stay at the speed limit on B roads. In fact the supple suspension adds engagement and reduces ultimate grip so if its a computer game what is a 718 gt4 with 70mph second gear on a 60mph B road?

They’re a couple who bought the car in France and fairly immediately began to dislike its feel at speed on the autoroutes (there’s another YouTube on that part of the story). Seems likely it just needed a bit of geometry work to make it more to their liking, but this wasn’t something they pursued. If I remember correctly they did a visit to Caffeine and Machine while they had it.

Yes, I’ve watched pretty much every A110 YouTube video that exists!

I watched a minute and realised it was a minute of my life I’d never get back.

Oddly, their take on the way it drove being so at odds with reality helped me see the need to get the geometry set up properly, even on a new car. Hoping my car arrives in time for my booked visit to Spires later next month.

To be honest I can understand them. I mean the part about being too capable is rubbish, but yes, the Alpine feels like a very normal car in many situations. Except the snorty sound and the bucket seats, everything else can feel unspectacular. You have to corner either really quick (or hard) to feel why it is being hyped so much.
I guess without proper training in a safe space (track or autoslalom) a regular driver may not come to this point (we‘re not all Chris Harris…).
