Having allowed my non-drinking wife to drive the Alpine back from a party, she unfortunately returned the favour by kerbing one of the front wheels!!! Aagh!!

Now about to have it repainted, but I need the RAL colour code and Alpine have yet to be forthcoming with this.

Anyone know what it is?

Many thanks, Rowland

Ok, so this turned out to be not easy, but with the help of Brad Banks of John Banks Cambridge we finally got there....

I now have spreadsheet from Alpine France listing wheel data for all Alpine models (via Brad). The colour code listed is 205445 which sadly means nothing to anyone outside of Dieppe, but speaking to another dealer at the Alpine day I discovered that the actual colour is Thunder Grey which has a Renault code of KPU. KPU is listed as a pearlescent finish, but for the wheel is is a satin version. Note that this may also be described as Gris Tonnerre which is Thunder Grey in French.

Wheel now refurbed and all is well. £85 inc VAT with Wheelcare in Bury St Edmunds.

So to be clear, the Titanium Grey Fuchs wheel colour is actually satin Thunder Grey.

Seeing it’s a Renault paint code, did you have to buy the paint from Renault? Or can this paint code be used at any paint supplier?

Buzzzen what colour is your car ?
I have a Thunder Grey car, and love the idea of getting a set of Fuchs one day.
I don’t like diamond cut wheels which seems to be the finish on those available as accessories, and I don’t like the other bright finish you can get (PEs ?).
So do you have thunder Grey can and Thunder Grey wheels ? I understand a lacquer paint and a satin wheel finish will look different.

Sorry to butt in but here’s my thunder grey GT with ‘titanium’ (thunder grey satin) Fuchs wheels.

Also those ones with many more arms are harder to clean.

The thunder grey of the Fuchs rims looks significantly darker as the thunder grey paint of the car, beside the satin vs. shiny finsh. I doubt it's realy the same colour code
