drivers door spring hinge pop / noise
Discussion
almost since new my drivers door integrated hinge sometimes feels .. off. When it misbehaves there is a resonant pop usually as the door is opened - or just a creak.
Looking at the hinge area what happens is the hinge resists at its detent area for a little too long and literally pulls its mount out very slightly which then pops/jumps back with a loud noise that resonates through the whole car.
the hinge is a non typical spring design I think renault parts bin type thing something like this
anyone gone down this path know a part number, or know if it can be lubed.

yeah mine is either (a) silent -- if it is being open/shut a few times in a row (b) creaks -- if it has been left for a short while or (c) creaks then pops -- if it has been closed for a several hours or days.
heat may also be a factor.
On the one hand it is good that if necessary one can buy a replacement for $35 euro in near new condition or 120 euro new from Renault parts. On the other hand having to have it painted is a pain, it will never match perfectly and it does not seem to be something fixable with lubrication.
