Hi all, first time posting on this forum! This topic could help decide if there will be more posting in my future ...

After sitting in an A110 at the Brussels motor show this year I was surprised by the relative spaciousness of the cabin & comfort of the seats, so I scheduled a testdrive to see if it could be a contender for my next car.
Somewhat surprisingly my main takeaway from the testdrive was that the comfort seats actually didn't work for me, especially because the problem I had with them I haven't really encountered in any review or anywhere on this forum (which obviously I didn't read completely ...)

So the problem is that my shoulders felt like they were being both squeezed together, and pushed forward compared to my spine. I was in pain after 15 of my 45 minutes testdrive, and the pain lasted for a good 4 hours after it.
I'm used to sports seats hugging your waste & chest, but leaving more room for your shoulders to stay more straight. Am I the only one who experienced this? Did anyone experience it and just take time to adjust to it, or 'fix' the problem in any way?

I'm a pretty big guy (fat might be the word for it), so I expected legs & waste to be an issue, but they were just about alright. At shoulder level however that shouldn't make much of a difference compared to someone with an average build, and at 6ft I'm not especially tall either.

I really did like the drive, and could certainly live with the other little niggles I had, but this one's an absolute dealbreaker for me...

Any feedback is appreciated!

It might be worth trying the base model 110, i.e. what used to be the Pure: I found the seats in that very comfortable, and certainly better than the idea of a fixed-rake sounds. I chose a Legende (which is now effectively the GT, power aside) because of the rake/height adjustment, but in practice I'm not sure it makes that much difference in terms of comfort.

The one I drove was a pure, spent 20 minutes in the fixed buckets of an S as well, but those didn't fit literally every other part of my body. Shoulders were fine though ...

I haven't tried the comfort seats, but I know what you mean - I've experienced my shoulders being pushed forward by other seats & while it's not caused any pain, it's very irritating when you're trying to enjoy your drive.

I wouldn't let this stop me buying a car. I've changed the driver's seat in several of my cars over the years. It's easy to do & it's a very rewarding upgrade.

Why not get one of these made up to your exact specification?

The forum software truncates the link, but you can see enough to find what I was trying to show you.

I did not have that experience, and having previously had a car with uncomfortable seats, don't assume you'll get used to it.
