Ghost immobiliser, anyone fitted to A110?
Discussion
I had a Ghost immobiliser on my old F10 M5 and was looking to see if anyone has had one fitted (or something similar) to their A110?
I've check previous posts and can't see it's been discussed previously.

Thanks in advance for your feedback 👍

Looked at getting one fitted a few months ago and told it was a "no", something to do with compatability but not sure what, had the same response re: fitting one to my Megane RS, do have one on my wifes Velar and has been faultless
I'm currently insured with LV and I know their criteria has changed so if I stick with them I will almost certainly be required to have a Tracker so have arranged fitment of a Scorpion S5 next week

I don't believe its necessary on the Alpine is it? If you lock the car using the 'key' (lock button on the key card), you need to use the key again to unlock it. As far as I understand, the proximity unlock option is then disabled.
The A110 is not immune to key cloning, I always keep my key car in a Farady pouchEdited by Andy665 on Thursday 2nd May 18:14
Question to the OP - as the A110 has an immobiliser fitted as standard is there a particular reason why you are looking at a Ghost rather than a Tracker system?
I have decided on a tracker because insurance is likely to request it and the factory fit immobiliser combined with the fact its not really ever going to be a car in high demand for stripping for parts made it an easy decision
My wife has a Velar and we have gone with a Ghost because the standard security is woeful and car is poplar with thieves and combined with a tracker for maximum peace of mind

Many thanks for your response. I had read on a forum that it sent error codes which needed resetting by Alpine.
I have had them on several cars and it’s a superb system.
I've not read that, and it's not been my experience. Sometimes, the sequence does not deactivate the first time (it may have something to do with my selection), but the iPhone connection, which I use instead, is very reliable. By the time I'm seated, the car picks up the encrypted bluetooth, and I'm good to go. No need to do anything else. I have had them on several cars and it’s a superb system.
