so the three year service is apparently:

oil change of course
spark plugs
filters
gearbox oil
brake fluid

I am wondering which of these is less necessary or unnecessary if the car has done way way fewer kms.

I am thinking, definitely plugs

dct oil? (I guess oil ages over time though)

I can’t see it’s worth skimping on a service. What would it do to its resale value if nothing else?

I will be doing it myself, and will continue to have the car until anything that does actually need doing, needs doing..

apparently oil in DCTs like BMW M3s if not sealed for life is five years for time. If it actually had 60,000 kms then fine, why not change it. That seems reasonable to me?

spark plugs obviously wear based on engine hours and no other metric.

brake fluid picks up water over time but can be tested for this.

here, the 3 year dealer service is $1500 and I do think thats not good value..

thanks thought that was odd.

but the renault dealer here looked it up for me on the phone (they found a fuel pump in Melbourne and it did not have to come from France, so my car is fixed). Maybe he was looking at the wrong thing but definitely he knows
its “3 year/60k”

found answer from other topic

this seems more reasonable so will do a diy oil and filter change. Not gonna do cabin filter or air filter as thats definitely a hours-in-use based thing

Year 1: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter
Year 2: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter
Year 3: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter / Brake fluid
Year 4: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter / Air filter / Gearbox oil
Year 5: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter / Coolant
Year 6: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter / Spark plugs / Brake fluid / Accessory belts & rollers
Year 7: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter
Year 8: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter / Air filter / Gearbox oil
Year 9: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter / Brake fluid
Year 10: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter / Coolant
Year 11: Service / Cabin filter / Oil change / Oil filter
Year 12: Everything except coolant :P
