Unable to luck the car, any ideas?

Has happened a few times in the one year of ownership and most recently yesterday and today. Came home yesterday evening, tried to lock the car with the remote, Pressed the lock button, the indicators flash briefly before the car unlocks itself. I tried opening and closing both doors and the boot (which used to clear the problem) to no effect. I left the car for about 1 minute then tried again,it then locked as per normal. Exactly the same happened this afternoon.
The car had a new alternator fitted after it failed last October and a new battery fitted in December before an ABS software update, so not the battery.
Anyone had a similar problem?

can you lock the car from inside using the lock unlock button?
same result if using the door buttons not remote?
is there anything displayed on the dash screen like a red frunk or whatever?

Arrived home late this evening and the car refused to lock again, there were no warning signs on the dash, nothing to suggest there was a problem. This time I waited, maybe 20 seconds before trying the locking button on the remote and voila it locked🫣. I have used the car a couple of times during the day without any problems. Maybe it doesn't like the dark, ######.

Update.
When the car decides not to lock and it's not often, thank goodness🥵 quickly starting and stopping has cured it up to now.
