Price increase
Discussion
Looks like prices have officially increased by a couple of grand…..
At the same time there seem to be a few available to buy “new” without order form various dealers - some with apparent discounts….
I wonder if the cost of money and uncertainty over the economy will kill sales?
Was seriously thinking of committing before the price increase but it’s made we waiver a bit.

Prices always go up in and UK inflation is running at somewhere around 9% so on a £55k car if the increase is £5k then it's about expected.
When does the price rise actually come in? If you order before it does you should beat the rise - I did that last year. Also, there are always deals to be had on pre-specced cars so if a dealer has one you like coming in then there's an opportunity to beat the rise.
Or buy a used one.

As far as I can tell the new prices were effective from 1 Jan, so if you place a factory order now you'll pay the new price.
My order (due imminently) would have been £2500 more expensive if I ordered it today... so about 4.5% more, not too bad given inflation is running at 10% plus.

They seem to be dropping a fair bit on the used market and cars seem to be sticking around a lot longer. Not sure if dealers are more willing to move on asking prices.
When I bought mine last autumn I especially looked for a MY22 car because I definitely wanted to have CarPlay (I daily the car…). Not sure if I am the only pervert, but that could explain at least a small drop for the pre-CarPlay car prices.KenC said:
Prices of options up too. Basic metallics up from £780 to £1,000.
Although the 'premium' metallics (Alpine Blue, Iridescent White and Fire Orange) have only gone up by £94...Edited by KenC on Sunday 1st January 22:55
The Atelier colours are now £4555 but I don't know what they were before as I think its a bit nutty to spend that much!
I've dallied and missed the boat, though Ryan at Manchester had told me in early December that the base and S were going up £2k and the GT £2.5k plus options were going up 5%. However after looking at the configurator it seems the amount of increase for options is all over the place, like the metallic paint for example.
I still don't think there's anything out there that compares to the A110 price for price and exclusivity, certainly until the base Emira appears. However I just can't push the button to order one for some reason, maybe it's the lack of support in NE England, the current economic climate or even the demise of the ICE car...I just don't know!!!

It’s the demise of ICE cars that was the final push that took me over the edge and ordering one. The fact that it’s a light car with a stock-ish engine that does both 0-62 in 4.5 seconds, and (apparently) high 40s mpg if you baby it on a longer run makes it the perfect final ICE machine in my book.

It seems the much advertised aero-kit option is now completely absent from the configurator. And £500 for a storage pack, and close to £70k for an S with some options?!
Aren't UK A110 sales effectively going to fall off a cliff at these prices? How many current owners, especially those who paid sub 50k for launch cars, would buy the same vehicle again at these prices?

Sales were pretty buoyant both here and elsewhere last year. I'm not convinced this price increase will have that much effect - though the continuing war isn't going to help. I configured a Pure to match my PE and it came out at just under 60k. Given that the PE cost 51k and was a bit a steal compared with subsequent cars I'm not sure 60k is a killer now. It amazes me how many people are speccing Atelier colours so those people at least are not that sensitive to price.
I guess it's true that all manufacturer's prices have went up., and the A110 is still a unique vehicle in some regards (light weight).
However some of the A110 pricing is just excessive, £1,000 or £1,750 for anything but glacier white. Porsche offers a range of four flat colours for £0, and a range of 6 metallics for £632.
