Key fob not working

My key fob has stopped working? I have changed the battery and that has not solved the issue. The car will still start and drive, but the buttons on the fob don’t work. It won’t lock or unlock with the fob?
Can anyone help

From my experience they recommend changing the batteries every two years

Have you followed this instruction after replacing the fob battery?

Remove the battery by pressing on one side (movement A) and by lifting the other (movement B) then replace it, ensuring the polarity and model, shown on cover 3 are respected.

When refitting, proceed in the reverse order, then press one of the buttons on the card four times, close to the vehicle: the next time the vehicle is started, the message will disappear.

When the batteries in my key fob were running low I got a warning message on the dashboard.
As you have changed yours already and the car starts this seems unlikely to be the problem.

Try locking / unlocking the car without using the key fob but rather with the button on the door handle.
If that works it might be a fault with the receiver in the car?

Thanks all for your advice, all sorted.
It transpires where we are staying, something is transmitting on the same frequency!
Once I moved the car the fob works fine. When I park back up the fob doesn’t work!
