Software Update

Yesterday when I turned off my engine a notification about a software update popped up on the display of my car. It also warned me that once the update process had started I should not start my engine for 10 minutes. As I was visiting my parents and did not want to let them wait, I just let the installation proceed and paid no further attention. Does anyone know what the contents of this update are, or is there any information available online?

If you were in the UK I'd say it was the infotainment update to allow the maps on MY22 cars to show miles instead of km

Has the wireless CarPlay OTA for MY22 cars been seeded yet? If not, has anyone heard when it is coming? It was expected towards the end of this year.

Ooh, I didn't even know that was a thing. I had a load of software updates applied by the dealer last week so I'll pop out later and see if I have it

That's interesting, does anyone know if the car has the hardware for it?

Wireless Android Auto was also promised for 2022 cars at some point. Hopefully that is actually released sometime in the near future. Would be a great improvement.

Wasn't aware that wireless carplay might be in the pipeline.

It appears to be just an update of the entertainment system for several Renault models. No wireless CarPlay as far as I can see. Looking at other fora, there seem to be only some minor improvements to satnav and DAB+.
