As I'm listed above I would add the comment that creating an echo chamber on the Forum is not going to be very illuminating, or give a reliable view of the situation.
These ARE very annoying faults, but lets balance with the positive! I'm keeping my Alpine, and would recommend anyone to try one - its a gem.

From what I can tell there's 730 UK registered cars. I don't really see the point in 98% of people posting about their non-issues in this thread? Maybe better to make a new one.
When I have more time this week, I'm going to try and gather model/year/mileage from those with issues to see if there is a pattern
Not trying to be negative, but just find out roughly how many & what cars are affected. If a pattern is there, it'd be helpful to pass that info on.

certainly a thread of interest and I know for a fact that people at Alpine DO read posts on this forum. I was told that Alpine of course monitor any failures and when it become evident there is a common fault then parts are replaced under recall which is what has happened with some of the fuel pumps. Mine was replaced under recall at its first service (PE 2021 but made in 2020)
The alternator issue will no doubt be the same if enough go wrong but the around 1% fail rate seems to be growing to 2% at the moment given the 730 registered (how many left) so still relatively rare? 996/997 had cylinder scoring issues in the 2000s with an estimated 10% suffering but Porsche certainly did no recall to fix the issue.

The replacement fuel pump you have is still not right. Alpine have just released another part number - the fuel pump on my MY22 has just failedReggid85 said:
its totally irrational, but I'm not taking my A110 on a 2 hour long motorway trip today, because I fear breaking down. Unlikely I know, but I can't get that image out of my head, of one stuck in outer lane on motorway for 2 hours.
It's not irrational, but it is unlikelyessexstu said:

Except…there are only about 50 Alpine owners using this forum so the failure rate is quite high looking at that small cross-section.The alternator issue will no doubt be the same if enough go wrong but the around 1% fail rate seems to be growing to 2% at the moment given the 730 registered (how many left) so still relatively rare? 996/997 had cylinder scoring issues in the 2000s with an estimated 10% suffering but Porsche certainly did no recall to fix the issue.
There are 600 members on the Facebook group and the issue hasn't arisen that often. So statistically its still a small number.
Also on the FAR forum there is no particular mention of it.
It's obviously an issue but I don't think I am going to let it worry me or change the way I use the car.

You mean this 12 page thread on the FAR forum? https://forum.alpinerenault.com/viewtopic.php?f=99...Also on the FAR forum there is no particular mention of it.

And there's a recall in Japan
Considering how many active owners there are on there I don't think the length of the thread is statistically relevant and the thread hasn't been updated for 2 months.
Owners of cars like this have a right to expect not to have issues like this but also tend to make more noise when things go wrong.
I am on a Tesla forum and the number of people moaning about poor quality yet my car is perfect and certainly on a par with Audi etc but if you read the forum you would think they are terrible.
I will be annoyed if my alternator or fuel pump fails but I accept it is a small risk. There is risk in every car you buy, it is very difficult to establish how many Porsche owners have bore scoring or RMS failure even though anecdotally it seems to be a major issue.
