I did quite a bit of research into them recently as I could not get ps4s in the size I wanted for the fronts. A good all round general tyre but the performance drops off when hot, they don't dissipate the heat as well as ps4s, not really recommended for track or really pushing on. I went with Goodyear's Eagle F1 supersport; rigid side walls and their equivalent to ps4s. Work very well🥰. 225*40*18 and 255*40*10 on 8j and 9j.

I'm contemplating fitting on the back of mine, general view seems to be very similar to PS4 but with longer life and possibly better wet performance. Anyone tried them?
Hi Adam, my rear tyres now need replacing - have done over 15K miles. Have no complaints with the PS4 but was wondering did you switch to the PS5? Any feedback will be helpful.
My other choice is the Contisport contact7 which has had very good reviews as well.
Has any one tried these yet?

I know someone that put the Contis on a Clubsport Golf instead of his usual PS4S and has been really happy with them. If they're available in A110 sizes I'd go for themHave no complaints with the PS4 but was wondering did you switch to the PS5? Any feedback will be helpful.

No personal knowledge of the alternative contestants, but there is one factor that is significant - but seldom if ever tested. That is the behaviour in cold weather. PS4s are particularly good relative to P Zeros, for example, in single digit temperatures. I don't personally feel the need for winter tyres in the midlands where I live. As I say I don't have any information about that sort of behaviour of other possibilities, but it would be good to know if anyone has.

15k miles from the rears, good effort !! I always change slightly early as don't like running low tread depths but I didn't make 10k, it does get used mainly for fun though rather than easy commuting etc.
Maybe I need to turn the fun up then! Tyres not quite to wear bars yet but like you I prefer to switch a bit early with about 2mm left at least.

OK, got a new pair of Michelin PS 5. Haven’t managed to get too many miles yet but after a short blast they seem very good.
Apart from that, the sidewalls look really cool! (never thought I would say that about tyres!).
Might be my imagination but they look slightly ‘fuller’ than the tyre they replaced, and compared to the 40’s on the front.
Price was great, 130 / corner with 20 discount from Michelin.

I would say that the PS5 is a bit stronger in cold & damp conditions than the PS4 but a bit more susceptible to tramlining. Should be a good tyre for the winter months.
Put a few miles on during this very bad weather with standing water on the roads.Have to say the tyres are impressive, very stable, no wet weather drama and they seem grippy and quiet on most road surfaces.
Also important for me is that they are comfortable and seem to help soak up a lot of the bumps in the road.
Would definiteltly put them on the shopping list when considering swapping tyres.
Wise people...
After 15k I too need new rears on my non-S A110 (22MY), but am getting confused by the options from Michelin.
Stock PS4 205/40/18 86Y (DT1?) front, 235/40/18 95Y (DT1?)
PS5, no 18/205 size, so nearest 215/40/18 89Y XL, 235/40/18 95Y XL - or 245? Neither DT1 (whatever this is)
PS4S 205/40/16 86Y (no DT1), 235/40/18 95Y XL DT1
Data taken from Michelin website.
I'm no track racer but I'd quite like the PS5 option, so my question is would the 215 vs 205 be an issue and if I did go for 215 fronts, would 245 be better on the rear?
Also is DT1 something to take into account?
Awaiting enlightenment...

PS4 marked DT1 in Alpine typical sizes are made especially for the Alpine, the compound mixture takes the low car weight into account. PS5 are made for heavier cars generally, so it doesn't make much sense to swap for them. In the french Alpine forum the PS5 does not get much positive feedback.
I've done a lot of miles on PS5, now settled on 215/40 front and 245/40 rear. It's a compromise, they are better in the wet and cold and last far longer, but don't offer quite the sharp response of the PS4 DT1s. I use mine all year round.
For ref, I got 11k out of PS4 rears (235), 18k out of first PS5 rears (235) and the 2nd pair of PS5s (245) will have done about 18k as well (coming up to change).

How many miles have you put on this car?! There can't be many people who've chosen to drive twice round the planet in an Alpine.Gassing Station | Alpine | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
