Front spoiler lip protection
Discussion
Hi,
Has anyone come across an effective rubber lip (or an alternative solution) which can be attached to the more exposed areas of the A110 front spoiler? i.e. to protect the under-side of the spoiler from scrapes when driving over steep road bumps or pot holes that you didn't see or misjudge. The A110's front spoiler is thankfully not as low as their German competitors, but you can still be caught out from time to time...

Clearance to u/s of front on stock car is huge, plus not much projection. Coming up to 2 years in here and never ‘kissed’ the black top, even including very spirited driving around the Highlands finest !!
I’m not saying it impossible but with a sensible degree of caution I really don’t think you’ll have an issue… it’s one of the things I like about the set up

Although there is loads of clearance compared to most cars particularly sports cars it is still possible to catch the underside of the front spoiler, when as you say an unexpected road.
I was driving in the Trough of Bowland braking for a tight corner and unfortunately the council had cut a trench across the road, probably 6"wide and couple of inches deep and it caused scuffs

These are popular on Ferraris - it's quite easy to catch the front of a 360.

Alternatively, buy a 15mm thick block of this stuff from ebay & shape it yourself. Of course, your skid plate protrudes, so it will save the underside of your car, but you're now a lot more likely to catch something, because the lowest part of your car is 15mm lower than before.

Thanks Tony, good suggestion. Would be good if we could find a supplier of skid plates designed for the A110. I would use them as a sacrificial component to protect the underside of the most prominent parts of the front bumper. As Simon says, the A110 does not project too much but it doesn’t take much to be caught out - as l can also confirm... In the Benelux, speed bumps are everywhere and a real annoyance.
