Air filters

Morning all- still without car - I’ve asked the dealer to do the 4 year service and plugs (36,000 miles )but have heard that air filters are on back order.
I see Life110 do a replacement “lightweight” one and other manufacturers offer “heavier” ones.
Has anybody fitted an aftermarket air filter?
Any feedback- I’m less concerned about weight (I’m carry a few extra pounds of “muscle” so a few hundred g in the car is insignificant)

morning mate, I have fitted the Life 110 air filter which is an ITG item. Nice piece of kit and you get even more induction noise. Its a life long filter to so just needs cleaning not replacement.

I had a4 year service in Friday at Manchester and there wasn't any problems with filters that they said about

lol no worries, hope you get your car back soon. Alpine really need to sort out this issue with battery/alternator before it becomes a thing...

I too fitted a Life 110/ITG air filter to my last S. As essexstu says the induction noise is a lot more noticeable. It certainly helps it breathe a lot more easily, though for me the induction noise was louder than I wanted in the cabin, not sure I will do the same to my new S.
