Hi All

Does anyone have any experience of the new Michelin PS5 tyres when fitted to an A110?
I know they're very new, but I wondered if there are any differences/advantages over the usual PS4's on our cars.

Cheers, Clive.

There is a test here. Doesn't seem like a significant step forward - and, of course, it isn't the Alpine specific variant. https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/2022-Tyre-Revi... Interesting read though, and the variation in weights of the tyres - nearly 2kg is surprizing.

Thanks for that - really interesting, although I think I'm more confused than ever...!
The reason I'm asking is that I'm switching from an S to a new GT, and to complicate matters I have some aftermarket wheels on order (Cup widths) and I'll be fitting new tyres.
I want to try and retain some of the sharpness and grip of the S without adding harshness, if possible. Tough, I know!
I'm going to ask David Pook for his opinion, but PS5 is an option, I guess - hence my question...

Cheers, Clive.

Anyone know of a supplier with Alpine spec rears? They seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

I apparently need new rears too (how, I ask, when I drive it sooooo carefully).

I was unaware that there are special Alpine spec versions - can it really make so much difference?

I was simply going to get replacement Michelins copying all that writing on the sidewalls.

I think what was meant by 'Alpine Spec' is the DT1 (or DOT1) version of PS4, which is only fitted to the S.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, bcr!

Will do! Non-S A110s have DT1s too - at least mine does.

Thanks for that - Camskill didn't have them when I asked the question.
