Where do I lift the car if I want to get the car on 4 axle stands - one under each of the jacking points?

It may depend on the car, try Google?

I usually put the jack under the rear tow hook and front middle subframe which has a jacking point.

Alpine A110. The only thing I can find is to jack it on one of the lift points on the cill - but then you can't put an axle stand there!

Yes quite - I can't think of a way to achieve that. I would (and have) used the method described by Liam22 in this thread:

Appreciate that having the rear stands under the lower wishbone rear mounting point may not achieve what you are wanting to do. Without making a lifting brace to support those lower wishbone points simultaneously - which would also need a fairly long reach trolley jack - it may be the only feasible way, however.

I'd wager you could lift anywhere on the cill, not just on the lift points. But I'll wait for someone else to try it first! biggrin

I think I'm going to end up getting one of the Quickjacks, or similar
