I’m trying to work out which from a Pure & Legende would potentially suit me best & on a Joe Achilles YT review he notes that the comfort seats of the GT he was testing were much lower than the buckets of the Pure he’d tested & that it addressed his complaint (one he’d made previously) that at 6ft 4 he sat too high.

So my question is are the Comfort seats lower or was it likely the Pures simply hasn’t had the spanners at them?

This of course makes the assumption the comfort seats of the latter GT are identical to that of the earlier Legende?

In addition is there a definitive list of what the earlier Legende & Pure got?

I favour the Legende as it’ll be my daily.

Anyone else run an A110 as a daily?

Cheers in advance for any replies.

He had the Pure seats set at the middle position. In their lowest position they are the same as the comfort seats in their lowest position

I think you will find that many of us think the bucket seats are the MORE comffortable option - and therefore the better choice for a daily. However that only applies if they fit you and you don't need the adjustable height of the comfort seats, or want an adjustable backrest. The buckets are certainly softer on the bum, but of course don't have a heated option. Arguably they don't really need heating because they aren't as cold as leather.

I find the comfort seats more, err, comfortable, and they can be set very low.
I think it's down to your own physique, I would not care too much what a Youtuber says... wink
Have to concede though that the bucket seat do look cool. smile

Thanks for the replies both, appreciate the only way to find out is to sit in one/test drive.

Having read almost every article I can I also appreciate many say the buckets are actually very comfortable.

How low a seat can go is very important to me at my height plus my current cars recaros are truly appalling, I’ve never paid to much attention to seats before!

Cheers

I agree with what others have said on this thread. With regards to the height concern you have, how tall are you? I'm 191 cm (6 ft 3 in I believe) and have 2022 A110 base model with bucket seats which are set to the lowest position. I fit perfectly fine and there is some headroom to spare.

I use my car as daily and have written a little about my experiences with the car on my website. The experiences are not very long term yet since I've had the car only for little over month.

My experiences can be found here:

I’m 6ft 2 so logically should be fine, I’m just very aware of seats these days especially as it’ll be a daily, hence why I’m very interested to hear from anyone who uses it as such.

Thanks for your link.

Well I am only 5'8'' so headroom has never been an issue.

However, I do use my Legende as a daily and for business trips where I might be driving for 5 or 6 hours in a day.
I find the comfort seats ... how to put it ... very comfortable! If you get the heated option it is nice on a cold morning.
So no issues for using as a daily - plus marginally easier to get in and out of the car (wider seats less side bloster).

The minor adjustments up / down when setting up driving position is also important to me.
Rake adjustment on long journeys I also use regularly and that helps to remain comfortable.

Finally, I think the comfort seats just look nicer - but that is a whole different subject!

Thanks for your reply, it's good to hear from someone who uses it like that.

I use to have company cars so was use to spending hours at a time in them and certainly for the last one never thought about seat comfort, hence why the current one is a bit of a bugbear. Though I won't be spending hours in it it's important that I can use it as intended, especially as I'm thinning down the fleet.

I must say I do like the brown interior, which I assume restricts me to a Legende with comfort seats?

When my PE arrived on the 1st December last year adjusting the seat angle of the Sabelt buckets was my first priority, I now find them the most comfortable and supportive seats I've had in any car.
Write up with photos.

It really is a simple job, the most awkward part was removing the seat first, undoing the seat torx bolts to release the stainless side mounts then were easy as.

I've tested this back and forth and with a proper seating position (bum pushed to the back and sitting upright) and both seats set on their lowest height, the comfort seats can sit ~1.5-2" lower. However the seats have to be reclined, if the seats have a similar tilt then my head is a similar distance from the headlining.

Bucket seats for me.

I'm about 5'7" and I found that my shoulder blades sit exaclty where the comfort seats scoop in, so I was constantly fidgety. Tried a buch of positions and could never get rid of it.

Fixed bucket seats were/are immediatly comfortable and have never been uncomfortable on all journey lengths/types.

I've tested this back and forth a lot now and with a proper seating position (bum pushed to the back and sitting fully upright) and both seats set on their lowest height, the comfort seats sit ~1.5-2" lower. However the seats have to be reclined, if the seats are bolt upright then they are about the same height.

I'm 6,4"ish and find sitting correctly upright in the buckets I can't lean back and fully relax. They're fantastic to slide the rails forward and pin myself to the seat for track style driving, but for a comfortable cruise I need to slide bum forward/shoulders back in the buckets with a lumbar support, or use GT/comfort seats.
I'm also 6'4" and had pretty much the same experience. Buckets on the middle setting felt too restrictive, when I eventually tried them on the lowest setting were acceptable, but comfort seats always felt like they got me just that bit lower. I "wanted" the bucket seats more due to how they looked, but in the end the comfort seats always felt a bit better to get into, and I preferred the way the GT handled bumpy, wet road, so that's what I ended up buying.
