what's the difference? I can't quite figure out from the configurator

Yes, they're essentially the same. The only difference is that the racing seat is microfibre whereas the sport seat is covered in something similar (you have to see them side by side to see the 'minor' difference)

The GT has 'comfort' seats, which are a bit flatter and wider but have height adjustment.

so that's 620 more and you also need the microfibre pack for steering wheel , console and roof lining at another £1450

I thought the racing buckets were more Racy or significantly lighter....

The quilted leather side bolsters of the standard buckets are replaced by microfibre in the "racing" seats. Not sure I'd call them more "racey" at all - just a matter of which trim you prefer. I suppose the microfibre bolsters probably are a bit less slippy on track.

Prior to facelift you were able to spec the bucket seats with carbon fibre backs - the option price certainly suggested it was real/structural but I'd have been surprised if it was more than cosmetic (particularly as the seat was widely publicised as being so light already). Did anybody spec these?
