Dissabled the sports exhaust flap
Discussion
This is not for everyone out there but i know there are some , like myself who prefer to drive in Sports mode but don't like the associated loud exhaust.
Until i manage to find the correct fuse to pull, I've disconnected the electrical connection to the actuator on the exhaust, its easy. Remove the rear wheel on the drivers side, remove the lower 5 or so screws holding the inner plastic wheel arch to the rear bumper, gently pries it apart and you will see the electric actuator for the exhaust flap, simply disconnect and voila. I used small plastic bags held on with cable ties around both the plug and socket to keep the moisture and dirt out.
Thanks to Tim at Alpine Solihull for pointing me in the right direction.

Good to know, thanks for sharing.
I’ve noticed several folks mentioning their annoyance / irritation about extra ( too loud) noise made by the sport exhaust option, especially when in Sports mode. I find this interesting as l’m pretty sensitive to harsh sounds or just too loud or with too many obnoxious turbo farts - I’m much more used to and biased towards NA straight sixes. But l have to say that l really don’t suffer (so far) from these types of noises which some of us are clearly getting with their Alpines. For a small I4 engine, the Alpine sounds pretty good to me, a bit agricultural at times but in an endearing, honest way, at least to my ears. (And a lot more engaging, sound wise, than the Porsche I4 equivalents). Hope it makes sense to folks, what l am saying.
It got me thinking however, and l recall discussing with my local Alpine service manager about the differences between each car. He advised that in his experience over the last 4 years, every car is “different”... l don’ know whether this is a good or a bad thing, when you think about it, but it reminds me that the A110 is virtually hand built - so, not so surprising l would say. And l guess, the differences could also come down to how each person has run in their car, and how they drive etc. This would surely also impact how each car will eventually “sound” or not ?
Just a thought.

Thanks for the info. The worry I would have is that, unless the valve is exercised it will get stuck, Shouldn't be too difficult to route a switch back to the car to allow you to exercise the valve occasionally.Until i manage to find the correct fuse to pull, I've disconnected the electrical connection to the actuator on the exhaust, its easy.
