Intermittent key fob
Discussion
Had anybody had issues where the car doesn't recognise that the key is in?
A few months ago I got watching that the battery was low so I change it and all was fine
However 3 times now I have had a message that key card isn't detected and I have to use the unlock button before the car will start
It's it likely to be a fault card or maybe a faulty battery or a faulty sensor?

Yes I have this issue. I put it to a quirk of the car. Sometimes I cannot open/lock the car from the boot, and have to use the door button instead, Sometimes the car momentarily flashes up a 'keycard not found' message. Sometimes it will not lock at all - but in those cases it is because the passenger door has not been closed with enough force.

Same issues for me -though it's never caused significant grief. Locking from the boot depends on where you have the key. If it's too near the car, the car "thinks" you have left the key in the boot. Standing so the key is a bit further from the car has always worked for me.Gassing Station | Alpine | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
