Very interesting new book “Inside the Machine” by David Twohig detailing the development of the Qashqai, Zoe and more importantly the new Alpine A110. Lots of inside information, detailed technical background, the real reason why the Caterham partnership ended, how David wasn’t the first choice lead engineer for the A110 and the Top Gear fire!! Don’t expect a lot of pictures but well worth a read and rare to find an English language “Alpine Book”.
You can purchase a copy at www.veloce.co.uk. RRP £16.99 but 35% off for paid up club members. Discount code is in the members area at www.renaultalpine.co.uk or send a PM.

It was an enjoyable read- finished in two days.
Only the last 38 pages or so deal with the A110 and a lot of that was "internal politics" rather than really focussing on the A110. It does deal with the cause of the fire and has a bit more background but I'd not advise anyone to buy it solely for the A110 content.

Forgot to add- there’s a photo credited to a certain Dan Prosser at page 108 of the book.
