I know the topic comes up from time to time with regards insurance premiums for modifications so… here's what I have on my PE car

From Life110:
Sport Spring Kit *
Alpine Cup Carbon Fibre Lip Spoiler *
Performance Road Front Brake Pads
Stainless Steel Brake Hoses
Revised Geometry Settings
Titanium Rear Track Rods
Performance Shift Paddles
300ps Engine ECU Nov 2021
Intake Hose Kit
Turbo Inlet Kit
Performance Panel Filter
Oil Cap

From Gtechniq
Stage 2 polish, crystal serum ultra + EXO coating *

I just had a repair to the rear bumper and diffuser after an unfortunate incident and had to do some negotiating to get the ceramic coating re-applied to the repaired area with the repairer as I was not aware that it should be declared to the insurer (some do some don't). I am also about to have the hose kits, panel filter and oil cap installed on my car so I added this lot to my list of declared mods. The items with a * were fitted by a previous owner.

My insurer Admiral quoted an increase in premium of just £35 for the year for all of the above when compared to an unmodified car. Nice.

I hope they didn't apply the coating to a freshly painted car?

Although the modifications are declared will they replace them like for like or standard parts?

The like-for-like replacement of the parts.

I cannot say - the car was painted then sat waiting while I argued about the coating.
