My local Alpine dealer got their first MY2022 cars in today, and I went over to have a look.

A couple of things I noticed, other than the big stuff (wing, new badges, etc).

- The new infotainment is the one other Renaults use — new nav, etc. Telemetrics is now an app in the "Apps" section, and is completely new. I noticed the nav had "live services" in it — I was being told the price of fuel in the petrol station next door.

- The reversing camera is now shown on the centre screen rather than in the dash.

- The dash graphics are largely, but not completely, the same. The speed is shown in a bolder font, background graphics and other minor flourishes are slightly different, etc.

The fire orange is less bright than I was hoping. It looks _nice_, but it's the kind of colour that really needs a sunny day to look its best in my opinion. I was kinda hoping for a more ORANGE orange.

That said, the Bleu Alpine colour with the splitter + wing and carbon roof looks _really_ good. Honestly, if I could have a GT with the wing and splitter, I'd probably be ordering one at the moment. As it stands, a liberal application of man maths will need to be applied if I'm going to trade to a newer model. I was expecting to be really blown away by the orange (I've wanted an orange sports car my whole life), but it didn't grab me as much as I thought it would.

Thanks for highlighting some interesting extra improvements on the Series2 model.
I'm waiting to hear when my nearest dealer has the new one in, and I, too, am looking forward to seeing the Fire Orange in the flesh.
It looks great IMHO from your pics. I was worried that it might be too brown...
Like others I will be interested to see how low the splitter is, too!

Thanks for the photo update, really interesting.

1. I NEED that spoiler. It must be good for at least an extra 50bhp and makes the alternative of a boot spoiler look a bit meh...

2. Why was the reversing camera not in the centre screen all along? In the dashboard it is often obscured by the steering wheel while manouevering.

OK time for an upgrade!

I've got a 'pre-facelift' A110S for a couple of days while I'm waiting for my car to arrive and I can't believe the reversing camera is in the instrument binnacle

That's great to hear it's a whole different system. The current one is so damn flawed in so many ways.

I'm fascinated to see if they changed anything dynamically, it would be funny if they have changed the geometry to the Life110 settings for the newer models.

There is no longer a blank switch at the end of the row either

Yes, instead of using it for anti-aircraft guns (as I had predicted) they’ve used it to turn the infotainment on/off

Opportunity missed in my book.

Hi everyone,
I have a new Alpine GT on order for August, having test driven the standard car (a Pure) on the basis that the GT will have the same suspension but the more powerful engine. However I have seen some reviews of the GT since it became available in the UK last month (commented on in some posts here) suggesting the GT suspension is firmer than the standard car.
Has anyone test driven the new GT and able to give some feed back on the ride ?
Or does anyone know where I can test drive a GT ?
thanks
Simon.

I tested a GT and it felt about the same as my 2019 Legende, BUT I only drove it for 15 minutes around some roads local to the dealer - maybe there's small differences I wouldn't have noticed on such a short drive.
