Will have a drive over today to see what is in stock - it will be great to have a local dealer for servicing etc. if they are good.

Me and my friend both have Alpine's and we live in Cambridge.

Hoping their servicing is good.

They only had a couple of cars when i popped in a few weeks ago, a Pure and an S both in Alpine Blue.

They've ordered a new S in the new Orange with full aero kit apparently.

Indeed - the same cars were present. Aero-kitted ones are expected middle of next month.

Went for a drive afterwards with the other Alpine and I spotted a 71 plate Alpine Bleu heading towards Newmarket later in the day.

I visited the Cambridge Alpine dealer yesterday as our boot got stuck closed.

I was so disappointed with the service, I met the salesman who told me to go to visit the workshop around the corner, we drove there and spoke to someone at the desk. He told us that we had to book it in as they've never worked on Alpine's before so would have to learn how to do it and most-likely have to take the entire car apart. They didn't have any spare slots until next Friday and didn't appreciate that we had 2 laptops and our house keys locked in the boot.

So we went to Alpine Orpington where we spoke to Gavin, they were so so helpful and totally understood our urgency, they took the key from us and drove the car in to the workshop while we waited with a coffee.

Around 30mins later they returned to let us know the car had been fixed, not only this, they fully valeted the car inside and out and explained to us how to avoid it happening again.

It really felt like those guys were going to extra mile for us as Alpine owners.

that is disappointing -

I don't keep laptops or wine in the boot as it gets very hot in there.

Yep, I find most mechanics (even when we went by a BMW dealer) get excited about Alpines as they are so rare and unique so they take a lot of interest in it, but the Cambridge guy treated it like another Dacia. It surprised me.

Poor service from Cambridge tech guys should have had training before opening obviously sales come first, what was the fix and how do you avoid it happening again?

They took a plastic trim removal tool and cleared the blockage. We had a puffer coat which had gotten trapped in the mechanism.

I'd like to try the Life110 geometry set up.

Can any one recommend somewhere to get this done in or near Cambridge?

Excellent, that's the type of place I'm looking for, thanks!

Did you feel the Life110 setup was worth the money?

I'm no driving star but think it feels more taut and nicer to position on road.
Think it only cost £130 or so, and worth a go!

I had it done and I noticed a nicer more weighty feel to the steering and sharper turn in

Hi, I am from Alpine Cambridge, sorry to hear about your experience with us. Obviously we had only just opened up and our Technician was due to go to training at the end of January. It is no excuse for the service you had and if you do come back to us I can assure you we offer the highest possible customer experience and service we can provide and we have two fully trained Alpine Technicians now to deal with our customers.

Look forward to hopefully seeing you again in the future and ask for Bradley if you need anything and I will personally look after you next time.
