Cambridge dealer
Discussion
I visited the Cambridge Alpine dealer yesterday as our boot got stuck closed.
I was so disappointed with the service, I met the salesman who told me to go to visit the workshop around the corner, we drove there and spoke to someone at the desk. He told us that we had to book it in as they've never worked on Alpine's before so would have to learn how to do it and most-likely have to take the entire car apart. They didn't have any spare slots until next Friday and didn't appreciate that we had 2 laptops and our house keys locked in the boot.
So we went to Alpine Orpington where we spoke to Gavin, they were so so helpful and totally understood our urgency, they took the key from us and drove the car in to the workshop while we waited with a coffee.
Around 30mins later they returned to let us know the car had been fixed, not only this, they fully valeted the car inside and out and explained to us how to avoid it happening again.
It really felt like those guys were going to extra mile for us as Alpine owners.

that is disappointing -
I don't keep laptops or wine in the boot as it gets very hot in there.
Yep, I find most mechanics (even when we went by a BMW dealer) get excited about Alpines as they are so rare and unique so they take a lot of interest in it, but the Cambridge guy treated it like another Dacia. It surprised me.I don't keep laptops or wine in the boot as it gets very hot in there.

Poor service from Cambridge tech guys should have had training before opening obviously sales come first, what was the fix and how do you avoid it happening again?I was so disappointed with the service, I met the salesman who told me to go to visit the workshop around the corner, we drove there and spoke to someone at the desk. They took a plastic trim removal tool and cleared the blockage. We had a puffer coat which had gotten trapped in the mechanism. Datum Motorsport at Halls Green near Baldock did my Life A110 geo.
Not far from south side of Cambridge.

Did you feel the Life110 setup was worth the money?
Hi, I am from Alpine Cambridge, sorry to hear about your experience with us. Obviously we had only just opened up and our Technician was due to go to training at the end of January. It is no excuse for the service you had and if you do come back to us I can assure you we offer the highest possible customer experience and service we can provide and we have two fully trained Alpine Technicians now to deal with our customers.
Look forward to hopefully seeing you again in the future and ask for Bradley if you need anything and I will personally look after you next time.
