Always thought the original A110 was cool, similarly the 8 Gordini and the A310

I'm full of fascinating stories about things I didn't do in my life, but my 'I nearly bought a Renault 8' is right up there with the best.

It was about £4k, had a Gordini engine reportedly built by Salv Sacco, and had been so extensively, er, modified for sprinting that it was just about entirely unoriginal. I fancied treating it to a sort of budget Singer treatment, but correctly identified I possessed neither the skill nor time to do this. biggrin

A310s remind me of a charmed youth spent holidaying in the south of France. They seemed impossibly exotic at the time. Yellow headlights mandatory. cloud9
