At least I knew what an Alpine looks like, I had to Google Genesis.

I don't think Alpine is about the numbers though, is it?

European sales looking pretty healthy after a bleak 2020. https://carsalesbase.com/europe-alpine/ Don't have figures for Japan - but that is probably a big market - they have more dealers there than anywhere other than France.

That chart of sales is a sad reflection of Alfa Romeo's woes. It makes Alpine's numbers look incredible given that one is a single model, niche and expensive sports car from an obscure brand and the other is punting out a generally well regarded* essentially mass market 4 door saloon and SUV's that have an immense back catalogue and racing history to leverage.

  • (by enthusiasts and people who have gone to the trouble of driving them to compare too the usual suspects)
