Wiper blades

I need a set of new wipers and I seem to recall one of you guys on here mentioning a ‘hack’ using a Volvo set but can’t for the life of me find it now - anyone remember this, or am I dreaming it?!

Seems to be a cutdown version of a V60 blade.

This is what I discovered - Not sure if anyone has actually managed to verify it, and some time has passed since March 2021 (and posted in the RAOC site link attached...)
Interested to know if these are now UK available ( Valeo said no previously) and will fit.

Thanks chaps, I’ve bit the bullet and ordered the Volvo replacement blades for £27 - will let you know how I get on.

Just to confirm the Volvo replacement blades work a treat. They are both a little long so need trimming down to size, but are the exact same fit otherwise

Did you manage to reuse the Alpine end caps or are you using the Volvo ones?

The original Alpine caps were plain and didn’t have Alpine of the flying A on them, so rather than risk breaking them (which I’m prone to do!) I just fitted the Volvo ones.

I seem to recall the “A” is on the underside whereas the Volvo branding is on the topside. Volvo clearly designed theirs to be removable but I think the Alpine ones were meant to be use once and then replace whole unit…

Is there a difference for left or right hand drive applications?
Would be our luck in UK that its LHD only.......hope not!!

There are different items listed for LHD and RHD - might be as a result of the positioning of the water jets on the blade.

I wasn’t able to get hold of the Alpine Valeo parts when I tried last year
