Who said the A110 didn’t have enough storage - this is our car packed for a week away with the wife and dog
Looking forward to a week driving around the lovely Shropshire hills.
Hi, I'm collecting my A110 with Life mods in a week or so, I live in Shrewsbury near Westbury.Looking forward to a week driving around the lovely Shropshire hills.
A fun twisty B-road is B4380 from Shrewsbury then right, up to Much Wenlock, but best in whole area is run from Llangollen up Horseshoe pass and especially on to Ruthin along the Nant Y Garth pass; 20 tight corners, no junctions. Fairly quiet, just wait for any traffic to pass first. Perfect!
Good luck with your new car, would love to hear what you think of the Life110 mods?

Many thanks for that, we’re is Shrewsbury tomorrow so will give the B4380 a go tomorrow. Dis the A488 towards Clun yesterday (as we’ve stayed nearby before and that’s a lovely road too, wasn’t rushing, but still fun in such a responsive car.
Good luck with your new car, would love to hear what you think of the Life110 mods?
You're very welcome. I'll let you know, or come and try it when you're next in the area. Good luck with your new car, would love to hear what you think of the Life110 mods?
Might well take you up on your offer next time I’m in you neck of the woods

Finally got a bit of free time so here's a quick assortment of the shots that Craig (http://www.craigpusey.com/) took of the car. My dad's an amateur photographer and I think he stumbled onto Craig in some forum or other and basically bought me the shoot for a birthday present. Pretty cool / unique gift really.
Some great looking photo’s there dajw said:
Yesterday was fun. I took a train to Swindon, was met at the station by Richard in an F8 Tributo, then after paying the balance (with Apple Pay, who knew?)… I collected this lovely, lovely car…
I drove it home to Surrey via the Wiltshire and West Berkshire countryside — over the Ridgeway, past Devizes and so-on. Was such a lovely way to get to know the car.
The drive is sublime, isn't it? You can only get so much in a short test drive, but the longer I have spent behind the wheel the better it gets (and the worse that rubbish display screen is).
Who's up for a Farnborough mini meet sometime by that bridge at the airport?

Farnborough micro-meet at the bridge…
There were 9 survey respondents, and a slight consensus towards Saturday October 23rd in the afternoon. What it really told me is that any time is fine, but that date might be preferable.
Shall we agree to do a little meet up at 3pm, Saturday October 23rd — meet for a few photos and a chat about the A110. Location is https://w3w.co/baguette.candidate.single on what3words

Main change to the S will be a different, stronger gearbox with a limited slip diff. This is capable of dealing with higher torque so the increased 300ps should be felt lower down the Rev range. Also option changes - the carbon roof is going away. Likely to be a few £K price increase.
CarPlay and android auto will be available on new cars after this upgrade. Don’t know about retrofit.
Here’s hoping both these are able to be retrofitted, the infotainment right away and the gearbox somewhere down the line when I want more power CarPlay and android auto will be available on new cars after this upgrade. Don’t know about retrofit.
Hi everyone, I just bought Alpine Winchesters emerald green demo car. Last sports car I had was an Evora GT410 Sport, so it’s an interesting comparison.
Really enjoying it so far!

Helpful to hear that others engine fans are running too, so thank you.
I must confess most of my runs have been 'spirited' (that was the whole point of getting the car - to truly enjoy driving / useable horespower....etc), so I think I'll put it down to how it should be. The engine heat coming out of the cooling vents at the front of the rear screen is quite something.
I'd forgotten how intoxicating mid engined cars are. Having owned a Cayman S in the past from my perspective the Alpine is a more complete package in all aspects.
Hope to contribute to this thread with experience / knowledge as time goes on etc.
Also - Life110 has been mentioned on here. Tempted by the rear spoiler as aesthetically I do think it improves the car. It's a thousand pounds though.....
Congratulations on the new car, lovely spec. I keep thinking about the rear spoiler but haven’t been able to bring myself to spend £1k on it, but I’m softening I must confess most of my runs have been 'spirited' (that was the whole point of getting the car - to truly enjoy driving / useable horespower....etc), so I think I'll put it down to how it should be. Hi to all those heading for baguette.candidate.single
I'm aiming to join you at 3pm, assuming Waze keeps me away from any M25 traffic disasters!
All being well, see you all somewhere along Laffan's Road...

Even though I am still not an Alpine owner (and may never be at this rate) I am still a Caterham owner though.
I thoroughly enjoy this thread & its the first thing I catch up on, over breakfast & in the evening. Keep up the good work & content. It makes me loyal to the brand
+1 I've been reading the entire thread and found it really useful as a prospective owner. I'm pretty local to yesterday's meet annoyingly as ive still not actually seen one in the metal!!I thoroughly enjoy this thread & its the first thing I catch up on, over breakfast & in the evening. Lots of dealer chat throughout the thread. West London and Winchester are about equal distance for me but would I be right in saying Winchester might be the better bet?
Does 6 months sound about right for a factory order as well?
Thanks

Just trying to keep a cool head so still deciding about the carbon roof.
Mine is white so I guess the carbon roof would not look too horrible afterall.
The carbon roof looks great with white I think - more so than the blue. I test drove this white A110S before settling on a Blue Legende. The black / white combo is really sharp…Mine is white so I guess the carbon roof would not look too horrible afterall.

Anyone got any recommendations for a phone holder that sits below the infotainment screen I don't want one on the windscreen.
I bought the Alpine one which sits nicely between the infotainment screen and the dash binnacle. With my iPhone it sits lower than the bottom of the screen.tonywright0 said:
Thanks for reliability responses gents. Bodes well I hope and can’t wait to get the car - hopefully with the mysterious announcement upgrades.
Just to add I’ve had my S from new for 20 months with no reliability issues at all (touch wood!). I don’t use it every day but despite this have never had an issue with the battery thankfully. Good luck with the purchase.
