Join the Celica Club smile Big following here in the UK & Ireland plus a few offshoots in other lands.

I don't own a Celica anymore and I'm still a member it's that good !

Just checked your profile - has ye got the gen3 classic looks vaguely like a Mustang? :P

Gen 6 GT aka ST202 (model number)

Looks tidy, I used to have the ST which is the 1.8 version, slightly torquier bottom end but the GT is quicker top end.

Currently have shared drivership of the 4WD 2.0 turbo version of yours, the GT4 aka ST205 and I used to also own a gen 7 140.

Top cars.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh it *is* a GT but it's an import right?

In that case, you'll need to check what version - there are 3, SSI is without Superstrut suspension, SSII usually don't but it was an option...and SSIII always have superstrut suspension.

Best thing you can do is give www.cheaptoyotaparts.co.uk a call and speak to them. You may need to speak to a Toyota dealership for part numbers, but they're usually so useless when it comes to imports..... Best bet, get on to the Celica Club and search the Wiki pages for part numbers and ask for advice if not there - plenty of members with one of the above models can help you. (take a wheel off and take a picture may help....)

KYB shocks are the standard Toyota shock manufacturer so that may be another route to take also.

That's where my confusion came from - was looking at the front only and assuming.

Defo an ST202 then, with normal suspension etc. An ST182 is the previous generation with the pop up lights.

Toyota Owner's club or CCUK?

CCUK is fairly straightforward, forum for newbies that you can post in until you are a paid up member (can post in Drivel and For Sale too) and other forums you can view also.

Have you tried Celica Club? Am a member myself and lots of helpful peeps on there.

Also, you replied to a 7 year old thread. Really?

Have a look at Celica clubs on Facebook. There's some breakers on there who might be able to find you an ECU that can be replaced easily.
