Today I test drove a GR86, whilst I wasn't surprised by road noise on some surfaces, engine (augmented) sound, what I was surprised was that I found it very difficult to set off smoothly and also have a smooth 1st to 2nd gear, I don't think its me as I have absolutely no problem in my Caterham, which was the car I actually drove to the test.

Anybody else experienced this?

It takes a while to get used to. I've had mine over a year and the first 10 mins after start up 1st to 2nd can still be tricky. Fine after that though.

Yes the bite point is quite high. I sit a little further back to compensate. Works well for me.

I love the car. Drives so well on the backroads.

Thanks for insight, in hindsight moving the seat back a touch could have helped, I will find out when I collect one on the 1st of June, quite looking forward to it biggrin
