I've always thought my 1997 MR2 was lacking in responsiveness.

Anyone know any good tuners near Berkshire please?

Not looking for a massive power, boost just a reasonable response when accelerating that it should have had from the factory.

Thanks.

The answer to "who can I get to tune my Toyota" is almost always Fensport, just past Cambridge. You could also try Horsham Developments, who are Chievely way, they're more Nissan specialists but might be able to help.

Also try? TBH I've never used them, but they get mentioned a lot, & 'Dany DC2', who used to race a Mk3 MR2 (& has youtube videos) tried out one of their race cars.

There are usually two options for getting your car mapped.

Go with a Superchips type of place that'll do generic mapping, they won't specialise in your car and who knows what you'll end up with. They're ten a penny and you'll find one nearby, they might or might not be able to help you if you run into any issues.

Or go with a specialist that knows your car/engine inside out, will be able to properly tailor the tune to the car and your goals, and will be on hand to support you if needed. There are obviously fewer of those and you'll probably have to travel a bit further.

For one of my cars, I'd be willing to travel to get it done right by a specialist (and I have). A couple of hours to drive is nothing, companies like Fensport have a great reputation for good reason and you'll find positive comments on any Toyota owners forum. YMMV.

+1 Whilst this might be a day off work, for peace of mind got to be worth it? They are more likely to find any other issues with your car, & you'll have a warranty. If you do sell your car later, Fensport works will be seen as a plus.
