Toyota RAV4 2014 Fuel Economy ?

Hi , I bought a 2014 Rav4 Invincible 2.2D Auto back in October
Really pleased with the car but the fuel economy isnt great

Mixed driving I'm getting 25mpg and I do around 3K/month, cars done 90K

Is this normal for the car ? can anyone offer a comparison ?

Toyotas 2.2 diesel engines don't have a great reputation for both fuel economy and overall reliability.

I once had a Lexus IS220D fuel ecomony was about the same as your Rav4. I now have IS250 (2.5 V6 petrol) and I get pretty much the same economy as the 220.

You could Try running it on premium diesel for a while with some injector cleaner added in, see if it changes.

Just jumping on this, my mums 2014 2.2 D4D gets about 32mpg on the motorway, our 2012 XC90 2.4 D5 (5 cylinder) gets 32-35 on the same run and is a lot heavier.
