2019 Yaris GRMN - depreciation/investment
Discussion
Hi all,
I have the opportunity of buying a 2019 Yaris GRMN in great condition for what I believe is a good price of 17k.
Do people think these will hold their value well being a limited edition and quite rare performance car? Or as it's only a Yaris would people expect them to depreciate more as they get older before the prices bottom out?
(Context being, would be purchased as a 2nd car/plaything, which could only be justified for something that would hold its value or raise in value when well looked after)

Depends what you want it for but it has a good chance of holding it’s value as well as anything given it’s a great little car and very limited numbers built. No one knows what the future holds but buy it to enjoy rather than thinking it’ll make any money for you as that’s anyone’s guess right now!
The only complication with such limited numbers is potential parts issues should you have a problem ...
Maybe worth checking the cost of consumables such as front discs ?
Yes they are great cars, I owned one from new and actually preferred it overall to the GR Yaris that I owned in which for me the seating position was never quite right ...

Thanks for the input all.
A short test drive did suggest they're awesome little cars.
I read up on the front discs, oem are v. expensive, tarox seem to do some to custom order for less (but still expensive).
I found the clutch was quite high on the test drive, are they all like that?
