Which MR2?
I’ve spent the last few weeks on getting my MR2 ready for its MoT so I can get it back on the road, been parked up since 2015.
I’ve replaced brakes, tyres, plugs, HT leads, oil, oil and fuel filter and the alternator.
Be great to find a forum or even face book pages to get some help and advice.

Thanks dapper and FIREBIRDC9! A lot of forums have died away, I don't like Facebook, but I will take a look.
The Mk 2 is very beautiful and much prettier then the roaster but I wanted a full convertible, originally was going to get a MGF.
I am tempted to join the MR2 drivers club http://mr2dc.com/?doing_wp_cron=1557529953.1104929...

Dare I ask approx cost?
59k miles, fsh, T-Bar with leather, no rust, as it's seemingly been waxoiled from new, 5 owners. I gave the asking price of £3250 in Feb 2016. It was on odd tyres, the wheels had an older refurb that was tired, it needed a proper scrub generally and it looked significantly less attractive than in the photo above, but I could see it was a nice car.I've spent a grand so far on a wheel refurb, 5 tyres, cam cover refurb, sourced and fitted the factory option single slot cd upgrade in addition to the standard radio cassette. Replaced all the body kit bolts with zinc coated originals, new genuine floor mats, polished the thing to death, started to detail the already very clean engine bay. Also upgraded the speakers, they're still hidden in the original place, but the originals were falling apart.
It's been in storage for almost all the time I've had it due to a house refurb, but it'll be home soon. I'll spend another grand on it, more if required, the drivers seat has a split bolster, and there are aspects of the paint I want to address. It needs a major service before I use it, but it's worth the effort. I love it.
They don't seem to be especially valued. I'm in it for the long haul and would have paid more for the right car, but they don't seem to sell at short notice, however nice they are, which is a shame. I'm sure there are better ones out there than mine, possibly even for sale currently, but finding a buyer, especially in October when you want rid may not be easy. Good luck with the search.

For a Mk2 the MR2OC is the most active. There have been several recent threads of people asking for advice.I’ve spent the last few weeks on getting my MR2 ready for its MoT so I can get it back on the road, been parked up since 2015.

There is no doubt that the forums are less active than they used to be due to the inexorable rise of social media.
However the former still has a role to play because Bookface is too ephemeral.
The MR2 is no longer in production and the youngest (Mk3) MR2 is now over 10 years old.
All of the issues have cropped up before. The forums (MR2OC/IMOC/MR2ROC) are a mine of information.
You just have to use the search function and/or look at the FAQs/technical articles.
I have a Rev 4 G-Ltd (the JDM version of the N/A), a Rev4 JDM turbo, and Rev5 turbo (converted UK car).

It has its uses but it's not for me. I manage just fine without it. . Macski said:

We're nearly half way through the year and I can't find a single event for 2019 mentioned on their website! The Mk 2 is very beautiful and much prettier then the roaster but I wanted a full convertible, originally was going to get a MGF.

It sounds like you have done all the sensible jobs to keep it nice and original and just improve it. I have just bought this and am over the moon with it. It needs a few little bits to tidy up, like the engine bay (cam covers) speakers, and I wouldn't mind fitting a CD player as well. Did you document any of your jobs on one of the MR2 forums by chance?I've spent a grand so far on a wheel refurb, 5 tyres, cam cover refurb, sourced and fitted the factory option single slot cd upgrade in addition to the standard radio cassette.
