Does a Toyota Corolla 1.6L 2006 have a timing belt?

The official guidance on the chain for that engine is inspection at 100k miles. In reality if it's made it that far and it doesn't make any horrible rattly/grindey noises, it's probably fine and will outlive the rest of the car without intervention.
I've certainly never come across any common issues mentioned online related to the design that cause them to fail. The main thing is that they have 5w30 synth engine oil, which also lubricates the chain - so evidence of regular servicing is important (as always).
On a test drive, just listen out for a harsh rattle from the bay on startup when the engine is cold.
