Lexus LFA parts catalogue, read it and weep!

Heard rumours that each car cost over £1M to make? Looks like they won't be selling spare parts at a loss......

More like read it and rejoyce... Things like this make me so happy that I don't lust after this sort of car or have any aspiration to own anything like it, ever. It makes racing seem thoroughly affordable, and it makes the cost of the simple pleasure of driving on the road seem absolutely insignificant.

But surely you would if you could afford it.For some people $18,000 is a couple of days wages...
In 10 years time they'll be CAT-D'd if someone nicks your badge...
Seriously, though, at those prices, it is certainly much cheaper to have parts made from scratch.
Can't cost 18k to have a bespoke windscreen company make you one to any shape you want, for example. Metal parts are, in the main, much easier to replicate.
The irony! A super hi tech car being repaired using home grown parts...
