Anyone ordered online (Toyota UK) recently, with the financing offer?

It's only letting me select Cash payment, not financing,

(even though the finance offer is still live https://www.toyota.co.uk/new-cars/gr-yaris/gr-yari... )

Wil do, when you say check the pressures, you mean to make sure they are at what's recommended? Or are you suggesting changing them to something different again?
I imagine they mean as recommended. Cars are shipped with higher pressures but seems to be missed on PDI.
Definitely missed at PDI. Checked my 2 week old car today...all tyres seriously over inflated at 36.5 psi. Reset them as per the book, which I think from memory was 31 at the front and 29 at the back. Will be interesting to see what difference it makes.

The financing option was removed for online orders since they became live again, unfortunately. It is cash only if you pre-order online.

Your local dealer will still be able to offer the 0% finance, if you want to go through that route instead.

ah, thanks. Odd that it's still an offer that's available, but only through dealers.

I asked Toyota UK, and they said they are no longer offering the 0% finance for the GR Yaris, only cash orders, as the lead times for the vehicle will go past 31st March (I presume the cut-off the current offer?).

My car arrived at Derby for the pdi, 8 days ago. Anyone have an idea how long to go before it will be moved on to the dealer I am collecting from?

I was told you'd hear from Toyota UK about 2 weeks before you can expect delivery, if an online order, but I can imagine lots of flex in that. Mine is still stuck at Portbury since 9th Feb. When did yours arrive in the UK out of interest?

Mine hit the UK on the 28th Jan I think.

On the MyT app, it says 'left the factory'. I'm in the UK, just wondered what other people's wait times were from this point to picking up from the dealer?.

Needless to say I'm foaming at the mouth with excitement

Give it 2 months at least.

Thanks - that helps. Look like some optimistic delivery dates still being quoted. The wait must be even harder for you, knowing it's even closer.

OUCH! I got the lads here in NZ to PDI it in less than 4 hours haha, they were as excited to see it and have a poke around as I was. That must be because of a backlog surely?

I picked mine up on Saturday. I've not hooned it anywhere yet as I intend to follow the run in guidance but a few first impressions.
I can see why the PH review of GRY vs FST gave it to the fiesta. For most drivers the fiesta probably is going to be a better choice. If you only want/can afford one B segment car and aren’t really into the rally homologation stuff it’s cheaper, incredibly practical, fuel efficient etc and a great drive when you put your foot down.

That said I’m not sure it should even be put in the hot hatch category. It's not just another hot hatch. It’s a proper rally homologation special. I think it has to be compared to cars such as the Impreza/evo/integrale et al.

First off all the geeky car/rally stuff on this car is what makes it special for me. There are faster cars out there, more practical etc but I really don’t care. Carbon roof, lightweight panels, LSDs, AWD, manual transmission, a real handbrake, the little WRC plaque in the centre console. I love that this car has been made. I get the feeling every drive will be an event. There is no other car I’ve been this excited about for many, many years and nothing else I’m interesting in buying atm outside of a Caterham.

The seating position: I'm sure they've made a few tweaks since the pre-production LHD models that did the rounds last year because I have a lot more headroom. I may even be able to wear a helmet in the car which I thought was going to be impossible initially.

The mirror: The trick with the arm worked well enough for me. I may adjust it further in future as I like as much visibility as possible but it's nowhere near as bad as the pre-production car.

The seats: Maybe I'm spoilt with Recaros in my fiesta but the seats are not as comfortable. They're nice and the bolsters are good but I do prefer the ST seats. However, the ride is better in the GRY and the suspension is superior so overall comfort is better.

The Pedals: They're definitely closer together. Looking back at the photos (see below) I took of the pre production car not only are the pedal arms made of different material the spacing and offset looks different. The issue where my entire foot was falling between the pedals when attempting H&T has been fixed.

Colour: The Pearl White looks fantastic when the light hits it. I was torn between that and the Scarlet Flare but it looked too maroon for me when I saw it on other Toyotas. I've now seen a GRY in the red and it's nice enough but just the wrong shade of red for me. I’m happy with the pearl white. I had considered going full rally rep with livery and white wheels, in which case I should have got a flat white car. I've my wedding and a house move, likely within the next few years so I think that idea will need to be parked. The "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission" strategy has worked to get the car but there are limits to how many times I can use that strategy. All I can say is the car is worth the cold shoulders, comments and silences I got for about a month after I broke the news.

Multimedia: Apple car play isn’t something I’ve had before and I realise it isn’t new to cars so won’t go into it but that’s a nice feature. However, one thing that’s been a constant bug in reviews is where to put your phone. For me I connect the phone and then put it in the glovebox and shut the compartment. Yes the cable is trapped but it still closes ok. I’ve done this before on other cars with no issue and have a pretty robust USB cable so I’d recommend this method if anyone wants the phone out of the way & connected.

Mine hit the UK mid Feb, 15th I think, they rang me for the chunky deposit which I paid the same day and I was told it would be delivered to my retailer on the 11th March.

As everything has to be done via their clumsy online systems I thought I would sign up for the 3 day insurance to not complicate them.

They rang me around the day of delivery the jist of which was everything was ticking along fine but I need to call someone to trigger the insurance oh and my the way it’s not being delivered on the 11th.

Got a date from them via their Twitter team the 19th, only for the Online Sales to email me today to say no it’s coming then and we won’t tell you when either.

Frankly it’s pathetic and they have lost all sight of actually providing any level of service to their customers.

I have heard much about how efficient Japanese car production is but they couldn’t organise a p*$$ up in a brewery when it comes to doing a simple PDI and delivering it.

If the car hadn’t got rave reviews I would have cancelled it by now.

Dealer contact is a completely ace guy, he seems a bit stunned as well. The Online team just seem a load of pleasant enough guys but don’t have systems that tell them anything useful you might actually want to know, like the simple stuff like when is it going to be delivered.

Thanks for listening... I feel better for getting that of my chest... wobble

The induction noise is great too. How are you finding the engine noise/fake noise? I like the tone but it does sound synthesised to me.

You know what I like it so far! I know it will clash with any kind of exhaust system though and will need to be disabled at that point soon.

I would love a snowy area like that to play in, been a few years since we had snow anything like that down South - When we did I spent a joyful couple of hours sliding my A6 around a large empty car park smile (Hengitsbury Head)
