Just having this same conversation at the other thread. But honestly, I do feel the difference when pushing the car. Might be a personal thing. But definitely not placebo. Just less scuttle shake and wind noise is already a benefit IMO. Even if there were not all the other benefits, dynamically, aerodynamically, safety etc. To each his own. wink
yeah just read that conversation now! lol!

i just think if you want a coupe buy a coupe, the MR2 Roadster is... well... supposed to be a roadster! and to answer your Q about a mid engined coupe for the same money... how about a Mk2 MR2 wink
MK2 is not the same at all! smile

First, it doesn't handle nearly as well. And in comparison is a bit of a whale.

I actually dislike the MK2 both optically and specially dynamically when compared to the MK3.

Nope. MK3 with a hardtop is fine and I appreciate that. If others don't or can't feel the difference, fine. To each his own. I can feel the difference and the car is better for that. All that matters. I have had long conversations with people insisting that RWD is futile because you can't really tell. Pointless arguments really. If they really can't tell, then it's indeed useless for them to go for RWD.

But as for the hardtop and the MR2 MK3 being a roadster and all, it's not like the hardtop needs to be welded on permanently. biggrin You can take it off and enjoy it with the roof down too, you know. wink

Yeah I know... I preferred my MK2 as a daily cos it comfier and better quality interior, but wouldn't know which way my Mk3 went on a blast.

Yeah, MK2 more a GT. MK3, true sports car. I would say at this point, both are past their daily driver days IMO.
