Low Mileage 2020 Model X
Discussion
A colleague is selling an ultra low mileage 2020 model X long range. Living in central London he has managed a whopping £2k miles in 4 1/2 years. Car has always remained plugged in and charged to 80%.
My concern is that lack of discharge and charge will have knackered the battery. Any one know if this is likely or if there is a way of finding out? I fancy the car but not a cost of £18k for a replacement battery.
Cheers

Battery has an 8 year warranty so you’ve 3 years to find out

But the MX has other issues such as heater matrix failures and eating drive shafts suspension parts. Don’t forget this is a complex car designed (at the time) by a young company that wanted to reinvent the wheel at every opportunity. You can easily get regular bills that will add up.
And then there’s Musk and like it or not, the attitude many now have towards Tesla’s and their owners.
