Looking at a 20 year m3. Did they all come with matrix led headlights as standard or is it a certain year?

2020 was the changeover I think. My model 3 performance registered December 2020 I think was one of the first with them?

Mine's a 70 plate 2020 December as well, and I also think this was around when they first started, although the software only made it available this year.

I think there is a way of checking by looking at the headlights, but not sure what that is, I am sure google will help.

A vast improvement though - I used to get flashed a lot before when wasn't on full beam, hasn't happeend since.

It is likely to be the case that any 3 with black door handles will have the matrix lights. As above, double check on the menu under 'lights'. There will be a toggle for 'adaptive high beams' if you have matrix.

You can also tell by looking at them - if the outer parts of the light looks like it has a glass golf ball in it, its the matrix lights, They were one of the changes that seemed to just happen rather than be part of a major release, I giess inpart because they weren't activated and a few just marvelled that it could write Tesla on the wall. Tesla even reverted to the older style for a while in some countries. I'd say pre facelift in late 2020 almost certainly not, from late 2020 facelift cars with the black trim probably, and from 2022 yes
