Does anyone have any experience of a Tesla used 'Event'?

There is one this weekend at the Reading site, possibly others. Do they actually do anything price wise on the stock? Its all a bit vague!

The email does say

Lower price (s)
Free wall charger

Their used prices are hilarious at best, so I wouldn't anticipate any bargains. You do get a better warranty, but when I've looked before, their prices are 20% more than a normal dealer on AT

I mentioned this to the chap on the phone who called just after I made the post. I said do you know what the deals are, apparently they don't until tomorrow and I said the free wall charger doesn't help me too much as I have a charger, is there an alternative and he said no.

They tried to say their cars are prepped to a better level than any independent garage etc. I will try to pop a long tomorrow as its not far away, mainly for amusement.

The prep standard will probably be better than a wash/hoover that most garages consider 'prep' nowadays.

There's not much risk buying outside of the approved network if the car is still <50k miles tbh.

Certainly more so as I am looking at 2021 onwards LR. I can’t see there being too many issues!

Always check out Tesla inventory on Tesla-info, you’ll get to see if Tesla have done repairs, often loads of pictures of the car, and how the price compares to the market, As an example a MY is currently priced about 4k over the market at Tesla for any given mileage, probably because they’re trying to sell them with EAP which hardly does anything at the moment.

I called them Saturday morning, they used stock was marginally reduced, the APR was aggressive, and the FOC wall charger was the main 'sell'. I didn't bother in the end.

If they want to shift some stock, they need to actually do a good offer.
