Tesla Sat Nav Instructions
Discussion
Apparently there is no such thing as a daft question…
I’ve recently taken delivery of a Model 3. The sat nav will state directions which are something like (random numbers for sake of this conversation):
Stay right to follow M74, E5.
In 1 mile stay right to follow M27, E4.
What is the ‘E’ part referring to? I thought it might just be referring to a local thing down near Southampton last week, but on a trip this week to Aberdeen it had been similar.

E5 is a European route and runs down the A8, M8, M74, M6, M42, M40, A34, M3, M27 and M275 from Greenock to Portsmouth Ferry Terminal. It then picks up from Le Havre and ultimately runs to Algeciras in Spain.
E4 doesn't come into the UK, it's almost all in Sweden, so I think you heard E5 there.

You also sometimes get EOM (or something like that) which I presume is End of Motorway
Unless something has changed in the last release you'll also probably get frustrated that it tells you how far to the next motorway junction even though you don't want that exit, rather than how far to the exit you do want. It used to be the later which felt more intuitive.
Speed camera alerts also only work when using the sat nav for some reason best known to Tesla
