Tesla Model Y for 12-18 months
Discussion
Hi
I am wanting to own a model Y for circa 12-18 months (long story but won’t divulge here)
What is the best way for me to do this. Protection of a warranty would be good and want to minimise my potential losses as much as possible.
New Model Y from local dealership on a 2 year PCP seems relatively good option. Will just have a risk of negative equity after a time less than 2 years (especially being brand new, right?)
Any suggestions much appreciated.

I’d buy a 2022 with lowish miles - 35k give or take will get you one and in 19 months it will still have manufactures warranty unless you exceed 50k miles. There are cheaper but they are either Cat S or high mileage. That’s £18k or so below the new price.
Depreciation is high at the moment, so take advantage of that by buying an early one with parking sensors. There isn’t much difference to the current spec, newer ones have a parcel shelf you’ll probably never use and possibly better suspension
