Courtesy of the often-bizarre bazar that is AliExpress, someone has come up with retrofit buttons for the Model 3:

Some interesting button choices there!

1. Press down the button to open the right rear door, lift up to open the right front door, and the corresponding indicator will light up.

6.Press down the button to move the passenger seat backward, lift up to move the passenger seat forward

7.Press down the button to tilt the passenger seat back backward, lift up to tilt the passenger seat back forward

I guess these would be aimed at taxi drivers?

TBH, I'd rather spend more and get the S3XY buttons that you can program or just use the voice commands.

But but but...the EV haters would probably say you'd have to take your eyes off the road to look at the buttons below the screen to operate the functions which you could operate if you took your eyes off the road to look at the screen blah blah blah getmecoat

Or use Voice Control wink

Edited to say my comments were obviously a dig at the EV/Tesla haters. I can see the appeal of the 'buttons' so thanks for sharing skwdenyer. I can see how it might appeal to some owners.

If you want buttons try a Lexus UX EV, the design trends from the Summer of 69 is very much alive at Lexus.

The Lexus is gopping but people talk about too many physical buttons being a bad thing, yet on my Tesla one screen has 28 soft buttons which will probably move in the next release, and there are 10+ screens. It’s not exactly button free, far from it, I recon it has maybe 130 buttons in total, they’re just not physical
