Insurance for Tesla
Discussion
What’s everyones insurance like for Tesla?
Mine’s at 1200 (or 1000 with black box lol) - for year.
Most expensive insurance ever, even my old M X5 and amg c63 cabrio were 300-400 per year and I thought thats alot.
Any ways to reduce insurance on tesla? I know theyre in band 50 which is on par with the supercars.

MY RWD, aged 38 in a sensible area doing 10000 a year and with 11 years NCB and I'm paying £800.
It seems insurance on them has rocketed in the last few months though, some silly numbers being posted on the Facebook groups. A lot of people ordering the car before checking the insurance and getting a shock.

Slightly more than last year on our X but nothing beyond inflation.

Similar here too. Stuck with Direct Line as renewal was only an inflationary rise and still mid £400s. Renewed on March 22nd.[Img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52700058978_07763cc164_w_d.jpg[/thumb]

34 , 8 no claims, license held 10 yrs. Low crime area
And still 1300+ without black box
Just been quoted 1800£ for the year as i was considering a m3p... With that and the price of electric its a resounding no from me.. Maybe in a few years. And still 1300+ without black box
