Giving another person Tesla App/Key Access

I picked up my model Y a couple of weeks ago (business lease) and have been enjoying it ever since.

I currently use the Tesla app as my key along with the other app controls it has.

How do i go about giving the same Tesla app access to my wife. I spoke to Tesla and they said that because it's leased i will have to ask for permission from the lease company but i spoke to them and they just flat out said it's not possible.

Has anyone else with a leased Tesla been able to do this?

But then it will always be on my profile?

Just open the app scroll down to the bottom and it says manage drivers click that then add driver.

It’s definitely possible. I’m with LeasePlan and my Wife and I have different logins so we can use different profiles (which is essential as we are radically different heights). It’s a request from the lease company to Tesla. You need to find a different call centre operator at your lease company. I had a similar issue when my first year of premium connection came to an end and there was very much a game of ping pong between the two until a got people with the right knowledge on the phone

My wife logs in using my credentials. But her phone is paired to her profile. The phone is what defines the profile not who is logged in.

I have managed to sort this now.

The lease company agreed it could be done and sent an invite to my other half’s email address and she’s now set up with her own profile on the app. So it CAN be done if you lease!
