Hi all, I don't have sentry mode turned on, but yet I lose around 8 miles per day (every day), and have always since I bought the car new in 2017.
I thought this normal for electric cars, until my wife got a new Renault Zoe. It literally loses nothing...........even after 5 days in the airport car park, it had exactly the same remaining miles as when she left it!
Does anyone else suffer like me? Are the Model 3's better than the S's for this? I just thought it normal until experiencing my wifes car.

Usual suspects are summon )you say that’s off), 3rd party apps can checking in on the car regulatory and summon. Cabin overheat could be a thing but I think you’d notice bigger losses and it only lasts 12 hours
There’s a guide that runs you through the options although I’d also include a reboot

I recently left my model 3 parked with cabin protection on for 6 weeks on my drive.
It lost a grand total of 11 miles.
I was expecting a lot more.
It’s a 2022 registered car.
That sounds quite amazing to lose so little battery capacity over a 6 week period. I assume you weren't charging the car? Mine (also registered in 2022) loses approx 2% per day, not plugged into a charger, with Sentry turned off and no checking on the App etc. It lost a grand total of 11 miles.

Fully charged before I went on holiday showing 352 miles. Sentry off and on my drive in the sun most of the day. I looked at it 3 times while I was away to check as I was concerned it would be flat when I got home.Saying that I left it parked at Manchester airport for a week in May and it only lost about 7 miles.
Seems to drop a bit on the 1st couple of days then next to nothing.

Does the Tesla keep the 12v battery 'topped up' from the main motor battery whilst car is off?
For reference our Kia EV was on same charge after being left for 6 weeks, assuming the alarm and the like partially depleted the secondary 12v battery but not enough to stop it turning on. Seen the same albeit over a couple of weeks on a BMW i3S too, zero battery drop.

Yes. I think it also does cycles of balancing the cells in each pack too to keep them all at a consistent level. I've noticed sometimes after a long trip with a few supercharges that I'll get a bigger drop the next day as the BMS does its thing to balance the packs. For reference our Kia EV was on same charge after being left for 6 weeks, assuming the alarm and the like partially depleted the secondary 12v battery but not enough to stop it turning on.
